Dobrodošli!

Welcome to Blagaj
Climbing Festival 2026!

Welcome to the place where climbing is the excuse, and the people are the reason you'll want to come back.

For one week every autumn, the cliffs of Blagaj transform into a family home for climbers, highliners, hikers, adventurers, coffee lovers, and everyone who believes that life is simply better outdoors. Whether you're here to crush your project, learn something new, relax by the river Buna, dance under the stars, or just pretend you're “only watching” before ending up climbing anyway, you've come to the right place

Expect world-class limestone, breathtaking scenery, inspiring workshops, local food, live music, cold drinks, new friendships, and plenty of stories you'll probably exaggerate by the time you get home.

Welcome to Blagaj. Let's make some memories together.

Five ways to win

Main category · Grand prize

Blagajski Sup

The Blagaj Vulture Trophy

Every route is worth points by difficulty — the harder the line, the more it pays. The climber with the highest total score across the whole marathon carries home the engraved copper vulture, the festival's oldest tradition.

Awarded Sat 26 Sept · Eco Centre

Slab Royalty

Queen & King

For the finest technical climbers. Only routes on the slab sectors count — the woman and man with the most points there are crowned.

RebroGavranPejotlMeminovacVučije točilo

Tufa Masters

Women & Men

For the strongest on steep, athletic stone. Only routes on the tufa sectors count — most points there takes the title.

ŠubeCrvene StijeneLjutVučije točilo (Katedrala)Pčelinjak

Ironman & Ironwoman

Endurance prize

Pure mileage. The most successful ascents over the two days wins — any grade, points don't matter, volume does.

Hardest Ascent

Women & Men

The single hardest route sent during the marathon. Ties go to the climber with fewer attempts — or more routes at that grade.

How scoring works

  • Each route can be scored only once per competitor.
  • Only free lead ascents count — no falls, no resting on quickdraws or any other gear.
  • Blagajski Sup, Slab Royalty and Tufa Masters all use the same points table — the harder the route, the more it's worth.
  • The organisers may verify any claimed ascent with partners, judges or fellow competitors.
  • And every scorecard still enters the Lucky Lottery draw — showing up can pay off.
